The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, that range is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works is your call.
