Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

The Broker - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker this new, the breadth is not narrow.

What You Trade On

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.

FIX API is there for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.

Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Here is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.

The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense is your call.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
